What a stay at Thornstone looks like
Boarding here is deliberately structured. Dogs are screened before arrival, kept in their own space, and turned out in small, compatible groups — or alone, if that is what suits them.
Morning
Suites checked and cleaned, breakfast and medications recorded per dog, first turnout by household or temperament group.
Midday
Quiet indoor rest with climate control. Enrichment sessions and trail walks for dogs booked with add-ons.
Afternoon
Second turnout, water refreshed, suite disinfected. Notes taken on appetite, stool and behaviour.
Evening
Supper and evening medications, final yard break, lights down with indoor quiet hours.

What we offer
Overnight boarding
A private climate-controlled run or suite with a raised bed, daily cleaning and structured turnout.
Premium suite
Larger private accommodation with enhanced updates and added enrichment during the stay.
Day boarding
Daytime care by fit and capacity — screened the same way as an overnight stay.
Enrichment walks
One-to-one trail walks and play sessions on the farm, booked by the session.
Exit bath
A bath before pick-up so your dog comes home clean. Priced by size and coat.
Medication administration
Given only within our written policy and your veterinarian's instructions.
Before arrival
What we will ask of you
- Current vaccination and parasite-prevention records from your veterinarian.
- An honest behaviour history — including any bite history, resource guarding or dog reactivity.
- Medications in their original labelled packaging, with written dosing instructions.
- Your own food for the stay, portioned if possible, to avoid a diet change away from home.
- Two contactable people: you, and someone local who can act if we cannot reach you.
- A signed intake agreement covering illness, emergency veterinary care and late pick-up.
